Getting rid of the factory CV-style drive shaft gives you more flexibility so you can maximize that new lift, or even just use the stock suspension for some mild offroading. U-joints are also easier to service in the field so it is nice to be able to keep extra parts with you. First time conversions should opt for kit with transfer case yoke.
