Proper priming required before body can be painted
Steel replacement body tubs restore your Jeep to its original form. Design will take some modification to install and some light body work may be required. Each tub is primed but will need some prep work before painting. Shipped in a shipping friendly wood and metal crate to help prevent damage. Some cutting is required for dash instrument mounting. Since the CJ 6 interior changed over the years, this body tub has been shipped without any dash cutouts. This will allow you to customize the dash to match your particular model year.

This is why we have been authorized to use the “MOPAR Authentic Restoration” and “MOPAR Official Licensed Product” logos for the more than 30 licensed parts we produce. 18 gauge steel used on body tubs in the front and rear flooring, all mounting brackets, top cowl assembly, and wheel housings. 16 gauge steel used on body tubs for all side and tail panels. Manufactured using a seven-step metal preparation process, including: A 5 bath dip to totally eliminate rust, dirt and grease; a phosphate and acid rinse step to ensure corrosion resistance and proper adhesion of the primer; new primer formula and application method that is designed for smooth and even finish. Includes all major factory mounting locations, including channels for body mounting. Dashes and shifter tunnels left blank in some applications with varied OE locations.

It is common that body parts may need additional work to fit properly on your project, especially when working on vehicles that are now over 30 years old in many cases. Visible welds, inconsistent panel gaps and a certain amount of “oil-canning” of the panels should be expected. This would be consistent with the fit and finish of factory original tubs, fenders and windshield frames.

We will assist with the filing of shipping claims on the consumer's behalf, but only if damage has been noted with the shipping agent at the time of delivery.
