jeep badge of honor

Unlike in the United States, there are no dedicated off-roading parks in Canada. Jeep enthusiasts depend on access to Crown land for their tail landscape.

This can sometimes lead to conflict and makes it tough to find suitable trails for your next Jeep adventure. If you are struggling to find trails near you then you need to check out the Jeep Badge of Honor program app.

Keep reading for all of the details about the Jeep Badge of Honor program and how you can get started earning your own badges!

Earn Your Jeep Badge of Honor

For those who do it, off-roading isn’t just a hobby, it’s a way of life. The Badge of Honor program provides an online community for enthusiasts to share and celebrate their achievements.

The App

To get started you need to download the app. It’s available in the Apple Store and Google Play. Once you download you can get started browsing trails and earning points towards your next badge.

Requirements to Participate

Anyone can download the app, so don’t feel like you have to own a Jeep to be able to use the app. However, you’ll need a social media account to create a profile. If you have Facebook, this will work just fine.

You need the profile so you can have full functionality. This would include sharing photos, saving your favorite trails, and interacting with the community.

The badge earning is just for Jeep owners. So if you don’t own a Jeep, you can do the trail, but you won’t get the badge for display and bragging rights.

The Trails

You’ll notice that there are trails charted all across the country ready and waiting for you to explore. You can browse the list of tails that we recommend.

You can also check out other enthusiasts’ photos from the trails. Find a trail that you really love? Save it in your favorites.

You can also get directions and information for each trail. If you’re struggling to pick one, you can view highlights and difficulty rankings.

Checking In

Once you find a trail near you that you want to try, be sure to check in on the app once you’re there. Then you’ll need to check in showing you completed the trail. This will give you credit for doing the trail and you’ll earn points.

Earning Points

You don’t just earn points for checking in at a trail. Every time you log in, upload photos, or engage with the community you’ll earn points. The more points you earn, the higher your achievement rank will go.

The Badges

So we’ve talked a lot about the app, the trails, and the points, and you’ve probably been wondering, so where do the badges come in? Well here’s the moment you’ve waited for!

You can earn real life, hold in your hand, badges for completing certain trails. All you need to do is select the trail, check in, and successfully complete it.

Once you receive your badge you can affix it to your Jeep for a custom look. This lets other enthusiasts and the world know just how far you’ve gone with your Jeep. Here are some of the trails Jeep features:

The Rubicon Trail- Lake Tahoe, CA

This 22-mile long trail is one of the most challenging in the world. It’s part road, part trail, with the trail part taking 12 of the 22 miles.

You’ll venture through the El Dorado National Forest. Along the way, you’ll encounter some of the most famous obstacles in the off-roading community.

This trail is legit hard and not recommended for beginners. You also shouldn’t try it if you have a stock 4×4. We can help you with your stock situation with upgraded wheels and tires, lift kits, and lockers.

Crawl Daddy – Rausch Creek Off Road Park, PA

This is just one trail in an entire park of trails ranging from moderate to very challenging. There are 3,000 acres catering to all levels of off-roading skill level.

You’ll encounter bowls, hills, rocks, and the glacial “Rock Creek”. Make a trip out of your visit by staying at the free on-site campground.

This challenge is great for clubs as all skill levels and Jeep performance levels can find a trail to suit them.

Black Bear Pass- Telluride, CO

This is another trail that should only be attempted by those with expert level experience in off-roading. The trail consists of a mile of switchbacks above the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls.

At a certain point, the trail becomes one way. For those skilled enough and brave enough to accomplish this trail, you’ll be rewarded with amazing views of the falls and Red Mountain Pass.

If you decide you want to tackle this trail, make sure that your Jeep is outfitted with the mods needed to conquer this trail. You’ll need more ground clearance so a lift kit is smart. You’ll also want rock sliders and skid plates to protect your undercarriage from damage.
